Baking chocolate Chip cookies

Ingredients 
      -3/4 cup unsalted butter 🧈 
      -1 cup brown sugar
      -1/4 cup granulated sugar
      -1 egg + 1 egg yolk
      -1 tablespoon vanilla extract
      -1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
      -3/4 teaspoon baking soda
      -3/4 teaspoon salt
      -1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

 

Instructions

  1. Brown butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until the butter foams and then turns golden brown. Take butter off the heat and allow to cool.

  2. In a large mixing bowl combine cooled brown butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Beat until mixed together 

  3. Add in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  4. Mix the flour, salt and baking soda into the wet mix.

  5. Pour in the chocolate chips and fold them Do not over mix.

  6. Refrigerate the cookie dough for a least a half hour 

  7. when you are ready t0 bake preheat oven to 350F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper scoop the cookie dough into balls placing them 2 inches apart on sheet.

  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown 

  9. Allow to cool before eating!
